Supplies

I wrote this tut using PSP XI but any version will do. Tube of choice. I am using the artwork of Al Rio
You can purchase a license from CILM.
Please don't use the same tube unless you have your own license to do so.
Scrap paper, flowers, frame and various elements (I used pieces from my Christmas Joy kit) which can be purchased here
Your choice of font ( I used Balmoral LET)
Filters uses are Eye Candy 4000 Glass and VM Natural Sparkle


Let's begin =) Open a new canvas 600 x600
Copy and paste as a new layer the paper you're using
Open the frame you have chosen to use, resizing if necessary, copy and paste it as a new layer onto the center of your paper
If you're using the same frame as I am you need to rotate the frame, go up to image, free rotate and rotate 90* left.
Using your magic wand click inside the frame and go up to Selections, Modify, Expand by 4
Click on the paper layer and make sure its below the frame layer, go up to Selections then Invert and then
press delete on your keyboard
You can now go up to selects and chose select none.
Open the Christmas tree you've chosen (resize if necessary) and copy and paste it as a new layer
Duplicate this layer and drag the original under the frame layer
( you should have 1 tree above the frame and 1 tree below the frame)
Make sure your on the duplicate tree layer & chose your eraser,
erase all parts of the tree that overlap at the bottom of the frame
(see my tag as an example)

Open the tube you have chosen and copy and paste it as a new layer, position it to the right side of the frame.
Open the presents, copy and paste them each as a new layer (resize them as needed) and position them around your tube
Open 2 of the Christmas balls and copy and paste them as a new layer (resize them if needed) and move them so that they
are sitting next to one of the presents
Open the holly or other flower, resize and then copy and paste it as a new layer and move it so that it's sitting
on top of the corner of one of the presents
Duplicate this layer and move it so that it sits on top of another one of the presents
Open your bow (resize it if needed), copy and paste it as a new layer and move it to the upper left corder of the frame


Now add your copyright info & licensing if required somewhere on your tag
Next type out your name in your favorite font (I used Balmoral LET) and I chose a dark green for the outline and a Christmas gradient color for the fill
Now go up to layers and convert your text layer to a raster layer.
Now we're going to apply the eye candy glass filter by going up to Effects, plug-ins and scroll to your filters until you find eye candy 4000
then slide over to glass and click
You're going to apply the settings as shown below and then click ok






Ready to animate?? Sure ya are ... so open Animation Shop and minimize it for the time being.

In Paint Shop click on the 1st tree layer, now go up to effects, plug-ins and scroll to VM Natural then slide over to Sparkle
You're going to apply the following settings:
Max Size = 11 Random Seed = 150 and everything else stays the same then click ok
Now right click on your canvas then highlight and click on copy merged
Maximize Animation Shop and right click on the canvas and chose paste as a new animation
Go back tp Paint Shop and then go to edit and click undo,
Make sure you're still on the tree layer go back to your filter and apply it again but this time
change the random seed to 200 and click ok
Now right click on your canvas then highlight and click on copy merged
Go back to Animation Shop and right click on the canvas and chose paste after current frame
Go back tp Paint Shop and then go to edit and click undo again,
Making sure you're still on that tree layer go back to your filter and apply it again but this time
change the random seed to 250 and click ok again
Now right click on your canvas then highlight and click on copy merged
Go back to Animation Shop and right click on the canvas and chose paste after current frame
No press ctrl and "a" to select all the frames and go up to animation in the menu bar and chose frame properties
Change the display time to 25 and click ok
Now you are ready to save your tag


That's it you're all done!
