Lucky

This
tutorial was written on March 17th 2009 by Heidi.
This tut is from my own imagination & any similarities are purely
coincidental.
No Linking or copying anything..
Under no uncertain terms are you allowed to make money from anything produced
from this tut, this is against my TOU's
Supplies
I wrote this tut using PSP XI but any version
will do.
Tube of choice. I am using the beautiful artwork of Carrie Hall
You can purchase a license from Up Your Art
Please don't use the same tube unless you have
your own license to do so.
Scrap paper, frame and various elements &
doodles (I used pieces from my Lucky mini kit) which can be found in the March
issue of the AFX Ezine.
Your choice of font ( I used KingsQuest)
My zip file which includes the gold glitter
fill tile.
Download the supplies HERE
Let's begin =)
Open a new canvas 600x600 and flood fill it with white.
Open the frame you have chosen to use, copy & paste it as a new layer
(resizing if needed)
Using your magic wand click inside your frame & then go up to selections,
modify, then expand
and expand by 5 pixels.
Do not deselect yet.
Open the paper you have chosen to use (resize if needed, I resized mine by 15%)
then copy &
paste it as a new layer, making sure it is below your frame layer
Go up to selections & then invert, hit the delete key on your keyboard
(this will remove
the excess paper)
You can now deselect
Copy and paste the doodle you are using on top of the frame and then move it to
the left side of your frame
Open your rainbow and copy and paste it as a new layer on top of the doodle,
move it to the left side and position it
so that it appears to be coming out of the frame (see my tag as reference)
Copy and paste a clover then move it to the left side of the frame and position
it so its sitting insde the frame
Open the tube you are using and copy & paste it as a new layer above your
frame, move it into the center of the frame
At this point you can add a drop shadow to your elements as well as your tube,
I used the settings pictured below:

Now, open up the gold glitter that I've provided. Click the top box in your
materials palette and choose the patterns tab
Select the gold glitter pattern and then click ok (this is the color for the
stroke of your font). Now click in the lower box
to chose a nice green color for the fill of your font (I used #1b640a)
Click on your text tool, choose your font then type out your name. Convert your
name layer to a raster layer.
Using your magic wand with the settings show below slick inside your name
(click on the green)

You should now have marching ants around the green in your name (see my example
below)
Go up to effects, 3d effects, inner bevel and apply the following settings:

You can now add a drop shadow to your name using the same settings from earlier
but change the color of the drop shadow to a green color
Add all of the appropriate copyright and licensing info, merge all layers,
resize if desired and save.
That's it you're all done!
